Meet TrueBuild and TrueView. Your buyers design their home on your website.
Home buyers start shopping long before they visit your lot. They look at floor plans at night, compare finishes on their phone, and arrive with a number in mind that may not match yours. Some never call at all.
TrueBuild changes where that conversation starts. It puts a home designer on your website, priced from real factory numbers and your own markup. Buyers build the home they want and see what it costs before they ever pick up the phone. TrueView comes with it: instead of a small swatch and a lot of imagination, buyers see the home's own kitchen, bath and exterior in the finishes they choose.
Buyers design and price the home on your site
A buyer picks a model and works through it the same way they would with a salesperson: cabinets, countertops, flooring, appliances, siding and packages. Each option shows what it adds, and the total updates as they go.
Prices come from the factory's current price book and the markup rules you already set in DealerTide. Buyers see retail prices only, never your cost. When the factory publishes new prices, DealerTide tells you, shows you what changed, and keeps quoting your accepted prices until you approve the new ones.
- Your packages and fees included. Your own add-ons appear next to the factory options, so the total is the number you'd actually quote.
- A monthly estimate below the price. It uses the rate, term, down payment and disclaimer your payment calculator already uses.
TrueView: see the finishes in the home itself
Swatches are small and kitchens are big. It's hard to picture a two-inch chip of Timberwolf as a full run of cabinets around an island. TrueView closes that gap.
Pick a cabinet color and the kitchen photo shows it. Change the countertop, floor or backsplash and the photo changes too. Switch to the bath or the exterior and do the same with vanities, siding and shutters. A slider puts the home as built next to the buyer's finishes so they can compare.
It's the model's own room, with the same layout, windows and cabinet runs. Each image is clearly marked as a rendering, with a note that actual colors can vary and samples are at the dealer. Buyers get a clear picture and a reason to come see the real thing.
Your salesperson's first call isn't "What are you looking for?" It's "I see you picked the Timberwolf cabinets and the island. Want to come see them?"
Every saved design becomes a lead
When buyers like what they've built, they tap Save my design. Here's what happens next:
- The buyer gets an email from your dealership with their home, the price they saw, and a link back to the design.
- A lead lands in DealerTide with the model, every option they picked, and the total.
- The buyer gets their own buyer portal, where they can come back, change anything, and save again.
- They can share the design with a spouse, parent or friend. Anyone they share it with can make their own version and save it, and that becomes another lead.
- If they reply to the email, the reply goes onto their lead and alerts the salesperson who owns it.
Saving a design also starts your follow-up automatically. DealerTide:
- runs your lead follow-up workflows the moment the design is saved
- notifies the sales rep who owns the lead
- signs the buyer up for your weekly inventory emails
- tracks the buyer all the way through purchase, installation and warranty
Your team starts every follow-up knowing what the buyer wants and what they expect to pay. Nobody retypes a web form, and no lead gets forgotten.
Built into DealerTide, not bolted on
TrueBuild uses the same catalog, pricing, CRM and website that already run your dealership. Homes in your inventory are matched to their factory model, so the home on your lot and the same model in the designer use the same options and photos. You set the markup once and it's used everywhere.
For your buyers, it's an easier way to shop. For your team, it means better leads, faster quotes, and fewer surprises at the desk.
Frequently asked questions
What is TrueBuild?
TrueBuild is a home designer that runs on a manufactured home dealer's own website. Buyers pick a model, choose cabinets, countertops, flooring, appliances, siding and packages, and see the price update with every choice. It is built into DealerTide and uses the same catalog, pricing, CRM and website that already run the dealership.
What is TrueView?
TrueView shows a buyer's chosen finishes in photos of the model's own rooms instead of small swatches. When a buyer picks a cabinet color, countertop, floor or backsplash, the kitchen photo changes to match, and the bath and exterior work the same way. A slider compares the home as built with the buyer's finishes.
Where do TrueBuild prices come from?
Prices come from the factory's current price book plus the markup rules the dealer already sets in DealerTide. The dealer's own packages and fees appear next to the factory options, so the total matches what the dealer would actually quote. A monthly payment estimate uses the dealer's existing rate, term, down payment and disclaimer.
Can buyers see the dealer's cost?
No. Buyers see retail prices only, never the dealer's cost.
What happens when the factory changes its prices?
DealerTide tells the dealer when the factory publishes new prices and shows what changed. TrueBuild keeps quoting the dealer's accepted prices until the dealer approves the new ones, so buyers never see an unreviewed price change.
Are TrueView images real photos of the home?
TrueView images are renderings of the model's own rooms, with the same layout, windows and cabinet runs. Each image is clearly marked as a rendering, with a note that actual colors can vary and that samples are available at the dealer.
What happens when a buyer saves a design?
The buyer gets an email from the dealership with their home, the price they saw and a link back to the design. A lead lands in DealerTide with the model, every option picked and the total. The dealer's follow-up workflows start, the sales rep who owns the lead is notified, and the buyer gets a buyer portal where they can return, change anything and save again.
Can buyers share their design with family?
Yes. Buyers can share a design with a spouse, parent or friend. Anyone they share it with can make their own version and save it, and each saved version becomes another lead for the dealer.
What happens if a buyer replies to the design email?
The reply goes onto the buyer's lead in DealerTide and alerts the salesperson who owns that lead.
