One Home Sale in DealerTide, From Lead to Move-In (2026/2027)
The dealership and buyer below are fictional. The steps and features are real and describe how DealerTide works today. No customer data is used.
Lakeside Homes is a two-location manufactured home dealer with five salespeople, a delivery coordinator and a bookkeeper. It keeps its books in QuickBooks Online. The Carters are a young family looking for a three-bedroom home around $650 a month.
Here is their sale, from a Saturday-night website inquiry to a warranty claim after move-in, and where each step happens in DealerTide.
The inquiry lands and routes itself
Mrs. Carter asks about a three-bedroom home on the Lakeside website. The lead is created, assigned to Maria at the location nearest the Carters, and a first text and email go out within minutes. A nurture sequence keeps them warm over the weekend.

Maria picks it up with the full history
Maria sees the lead in her workqueue with the weekend messages already on the record. She calls, then emails from her own Gmail account, and the reply lands back on the Carters’ record. She sets a task for a lot visit Thursday.

Two homes, two payments, one conversation
On the lot, Maria opens Deal Desk and builds two scenarios: a Champion three-bedroom from inventory and a comparable home at the other location. Trade-in, fees and taxes are included. The Carters pick the second home at the payment they wanted, and Maria sends a quote linked to the deal.

Signed from a phone
The purchase agreement fills from the deal, with no retyping, and goes to both Carters by text. They sign from their phones. The completion certificate records who signed, when and how.

The sale becomes a project
The sold deal becomes a delivery project on Lakeside’s standard template: purchase agreement signed, home ordered, home arrives at dealer, land prep and permits, delivered to site, installation and set, utility connections, final inspection, walk-through, closing and handoff.
In DealerTide: Projects
Contractors and the Carters see their part
The set crew and the utility contractor see their assigned tasks in the contractor and vendor portal. The Carters log in to the buyer portal to follow progress, view documents and pay their deposit invoice online.

Money and commissions without a spreadsheet
The invoice and payments sync to Lakeside’s QuickBooks Online company for that location. Maria’s commission calculates from the deal, including a separate spiff on delivery and skirting, and waits for approval before payout.

A warranty claim, tracked to the dollar
The Carters submit a service request from the portal about a sticking door. Service logs the ticket, assigns the repair to a contractor, and files a warranty claim against the home. Manufacturer receivables show what the factory still owes Lakeside.

The owner sees both lots in one place
Lakeside’s owner opens the dashboard and reports to see sales, gross and commissions by location, without asking anyone to build a spreadsheet.

What didn't happen
- Nobody retyped the Carters' information. The lead became the deal, the quote, the agreement, the project and the invoice.
- Nobody calculated a commission in a spreadsheet.
- The Carters never had to call to ask where their home was.
- The bookkeeper didn't key the sale into QuickBooks.
