DealerTide capabilities: what the DMS does, module by module

What DealerTide does, module by module

DealerTide, by Renter Insight · Last verified September 23, 2026

DealerTide is a dealer management system for any dealership: manufactured home, RV, powersport, auto, and more. It runs CRM, inventory, deals, agreements, accounting, commissions, projects, service, warranty, and buyer and contractor portals in one login, on one customer record.

This page answers the questions buyers ask most, in plain yes-or-no terms. Every answer describes what ships in the product today. If something isn't listed here, ask us on a demo rather than assume it's there.

CRM and sales

Leads, accounts, contacts and sales deals share one customer record, so every call, text, email, quote and task stays attached to the person who bought.

Does DealerTide include a CRM?

Yes. Prospecting, accounts, contacts and a sales-deal pipeline are built in. The CRM is the shared record underneath every other module, not a separate product.

Can we text and email customers from DealerTide?

Yes. Two-way SMS and email are sent from the customer record, and the conversation history stays with the contact for anyone on the team to see.

Does it connect to Gmail and Outlook?

Yes. Reps connect their Gmail or Outlook account with a secure sign-in (OAuth), so email goes out from their own address and replies land on the customer record.

Can reps send quotes?

Yes. The quoting tool builds quotes from inventory and sends them to the buyer as a shareable link they can open on any device.

Do quotes connect to the deal?

Yes. Every quote links to its sales deal, so the buyer, unit and pricing carry through without double entry.

Does DealerTide include task management?

Yes. Tasks can be assigned, scheduled and tracked from any record, and a workqueue, shared calendar and reminders keep follow-ups from slipping.

Will reps get notified in the app?

Yes. In-app notifications alert users to new leads, assigned tasks, reminders and customer replies.

Can we tag and segment records?

Yes. Enterprise tagging applies consistent tags across contacts, accounts, deals and inventory for segmenting, filtering and automation.

  • Lead prospecting and routing
  • Accounts and contacts
  • Sales-deal pipeline
  • Quoting tool linked to the deal

Deal Desk

A point-of-sale tool for structuring a deal: pull the deal in, add trade, fees and add-on products, and work the numbers the buyer cares about.

Can we build payment scenarios?

Yes. Reps build several scenarios on one deal, with trade-in and payoff, cash down, fees, taxes, add-on products, rate and term, and compare them side by side.

Can we compare different homes or units for the same buyer?

Yes. The unit is a swappable slot in the scenario, so a rep can show the buyer comparable inventory at the payment they asked for.

Does the deal carry over without re-keying?

Yes. The buyer, unit, trade and fees come in from the sales deal, and the selected structure writes back to it.

Are old quotes kept?

Yes. Scenarios expire from the working view after a set window but are never deleted, so you can always show what was quoted, when, and by whom.

In the product

  • Multiple scenarios per deal
  • Unit swap and side-by-side compare
  • Trade-in and payoff handling
  • Configurable tax modes and fees
  • Add-on and protection products
  • Lender programs and rate tiers
